Alice & Ed got in touch with me when they started to plan their Oxfordshire countryside Wedding, just before they moved 700 miles over to Germany! Alice had most things planned, but continued to plan and organise their English Wedding from Germany. What a mammoth task that must have been, but she absolutely nailed it.
Alice & Ed chose Worton Hall as their venue, which at the time was quite new on the Wedding scene. Worton Hall is a barn venue and is based in the beautiful area of Cassington in Oxfordshire, and has onsite accommodation where Alice, Ed and their families stayed. I absolutely love Weddings like this, where families and friends have the opportunity to be together for the whole experience. It must be the best weekend for them. And even more so as the Wedding day was also Ed's 30th birthday!
Alice stayed in a gorgeous house, filled with character and rustic features. She got ready with a view on to lawn where the outdoor ceremony would take place, so she could see her guests arriving and watch the set up over the morning. How exciting! She chose a simple yet stunning dress with a high neckline and beautiful detail around the waist, and bright colourful flowers for her and the bridesmaid's bouquet, and for the button holes. The theme of the day was blue, yellow and pink which you can see in the flowers and room decorations.
We were blessed with great weather on the day which meant the outdoor ceremony could go ahead. Alice walked down the aisle to her sister playing the piano and friend playing the violin, there were bubbles instead of confetti, a magician to entertain the guests, a games room for guests to play, pizza for dinner and birthday cake for dessert! Oh and plenty of excellent drunk dancing. Sounds perfect to me!
It was such a fantastic day which represented Alice & Ed perfectly, the love I felt between them and family and friends was beautiful, and it was an absolute privilege to be there documenting it all.
