When Ellie got in touch with me to chat about Wedding photography, I knew immediately it was going to be the most beautiful day! Ellie & Tom planned to marry in a local church in Lingfield, and have their Wedding reception in a marquee at their newly built home. The land on which their new home was built was originally where Tom's Grandfather's home stood, but they bought the house from him and did a full renovation, from the ground up! And what stands now is a beautiful modern home, but most definitely inspired by the character and personality found in the older farm houses. It was a perfect mix between old and new, and the most dreamy home to photograph Bridal prep in! That light!
Ellie chose to wear an incredible Naiomi Neoh Wedding gown which moved so softly, she looked incredible in it and she definitely shone for the whole day. Her hair and makeup was natural yet done, and I loved how that brought the whole look together. Bridesmaids wore a cornflour blue dress with cream lace which complimented Ellie's gown so well. As for Tom and his groomsmen, they wore Moss Bro's and Gap, which really tied in with the more relaxed vibe of the Wedding.
Ellie & Tom got married in the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Lingfield, Surrey, and it was a beautiful place to be married, inside and out. Ellie planned as a surprise to have a stringed quartette play as guests arrived and it was absolutely perfect. From there we did confetti photos outside and then made our way back to Ellie & Tom's home for their garden reception, where we did the group photos and Ellie & Tom's couple photos.
The stringed quartette continued to play throughout the drinks reception in the garden, and the afternoon was full of friends, family and Summer sunshine. Speeches commenced in the marquee, followed by a 3 course meal. I took Ellie & Tom out for some more photos together when the light was lower and they were a bit more relaxed. We went over to their apple tree, and got some of the most beautiful photos I have ever taken. Soft light and a happy couple, how could I go wrong?
The evening involved lots of dancing, a live band and a pizza van! The atmosphere and the overall vibe of a garden reception was like nothing I had felt before. It was so relaxed and homely, and I'm sure a real treat for all the guests.
Ellie & Tom's Wedding was most definitely the Pinterest Wedding of dreams. I could not get over how gorgeous every single detail was, throughout the whole day! The time, effort and attention to detail was evident in every element of the day, and must have been ten times more difficult to plan than the usual Wedding at a Wedding Venue! Ellie had the help of her Wedding Planner friend at Beatte & Bailey, and from another friend from Pretty Quirky Hire who supplied gorgeous props to dress the reception. And clearly they did a fantastic job as the day was amazing. The way the whole marquee was dressed was so pretty and I thought it reflected the countryside location so well with the choice of rustic decorations. My favourite details were the Wedding favours, cake topper and table number illustrations. So cute!
